Dr. Petrela is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist specializing in comprehensive ophthalmology, cataract surgery and glaucoma. She completed her Ophthalmology Residency at Upstate Medical University and internship in preliminary medicine at St Joseph’s Medical Center. She attended medical school at the University of Tirana “Mother Teresa”, Tirana, Albania graduating in the top 3% of her class. She has received the Golden Medal Award, Diploma of Honor Award and a scholarship from the European Society of Ophthalmology. Dr. Petrela is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, and the Onondaga County Medical Society.
